i can’t not have been there
a frothing skirt
receptive
i can’t not have been there
putting sweat through hurt
deceptive
i can’t not have been there
holding one and nought
synthetic
i can’t not have been here
so free — stuck
in flux

I’ve not been writing much, got this last night. I’m not sure verse two is blokey enough, gendered, maybe. i did toy around with the 5th line but I like this original version of it, it does seem blokey to me in a way, hmm just not as explicit as skirt is for the feminine. One reason i share it is i am not quite sure of this poem yet, is it a poem, hmmm, it’s not not a poem I think.
Oh and that is where the first line comes in, thinking about the hemispheres of the brain apparently being unable to say yes to each other but only no and not-no.
