leaden december leaf loss lit
a heavy sunday afternoon
stuck in a hope of it
dawn risen to a coloured week
truth unwanted
but for the smile of it

leaden december leaf loss lit
a heavy sunday afternoon
stuck in a hope of it
dawn risen to a coloured week
truth unwanted
but for the smile of it

tree shadow plays on the blinded window
branches blown on the wind
airy world now rippling pond
dappled light clear blue almost nothing
trickling cold from December’s lake
endless fascination
treasure in this minute’s type

a beer a film a day of resignation
amidst our sense stormed earth
I click a link that is worth hearing
but first must learn of choc desserts
then a Martian wind starts singing
on my laptop from fields of dust

near deepest darkness
years of growth cut back, attacked
not academic
to wonder of light’s rebirth
pray true gleams coming may yet thrive
