slides right into view
the frill for which you’d hoped
pleats cheap, cheats you

the glamour glimmers far behind
falling horizons
things you didn’t know would go
day dreamt at the iron

my gain of life gaining life
steps within the blue
happier in each moment’s eye
tendered soul renewed
